Te Papaioea Birthing Centre is a primary birthing unit located in Palmerston North, across the road from Palmerston North Hospital. The unit is staffed full time with a midwife and health care assistant on each shift. Low-risk women can birth here with their LMC. There are 6 private rooms for birthing and postnatal stay with a queen sized bed in each with a ensuite and a rain shower. Partners are welcome to stay.
